The restaurant has an old-fashioned elegance, but it feels like a thing of the past. The chair upholstery was so worn I was almost sitting on the ground, and I had to stand for a while because my back hurt. The piano was another thing I didn't love. The main problem was the service. On the Sunday after Mother's Day, there were only two waiters for the whole restaurant, while the manager stood by as guests went thirsty and dishes piled up. We even cleared some things while she watched. Our party of 18 arrived at 9:30, earlier than most, but I didn't get my food until 12:30, and some of us were still waiting after other guests had left. The gorditas were raw inside, and others in our group said their food was bad. The only good part was the company.

The whole third floor lost water on our last day, so we couldn't even shower. We were on the third floor, and there are no elevators. The A/C didn't work either. We stayed three days, but I wanted to leave after the first one. The rooms were falling apart and so dirty, with ants in the bathroom. Worst hotel experience ever. I wish I'd taken pictures.

We've been eating at the restaurant for years, and the food, service, and prices are very good. The ambience is otherwise very nice, but the piano playing is intrusive and makes it hard to have a conversation, so I took off one star.

We had a room with a king bed and A/C. It was clean, and the hotel's common areas and pool were beautiful. Nice place in the center of colima.
