Posada Comala by Rotamundos Hotel

We were there for 10 days, and I'd be happy to stay again. We had rooms 105 and 106, which connected, and my family and I loved their design. The restaurant is cute, and the creek beside it is lovely. Getting there is a bit difficult because of a steep hill and sharp turn. The shower knobs weren't fancy, and there was a large square showing inside the wall behind them. It also took a long time for the water to heat up. I'm not sure if that's Mexican culture, so it won't affect my review. Thanks for the experience!

I liked the location, and the little creek beside the restaurant was a really relaxing place to sit. Staff were very friendly, and our room was reasonably clean. We didn't have towels or blankets, which would've been nice, but we managed.

The view from our window was the back courtyard, with trees beside the dry river. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the king bed was comfortable. The air conditioning was quiet. I pulled out the plug-in air freshener as soon as we entered because it smelled awful, then left the door open to clear the room. We were there for two nights. The shower's hot water knob broke the first time we used it, but it was fixed promptly. There's no elevator.

The beds were lumpy and badly in need of replacement, and there was a leak under the bathroom sink that I reported. We were also right beside the restaurant, where employees started arriving around 6:30 and made so much noise we couldn't sleep. The first morning there was no hot water, so I took a very short shower. I told the front desk person, who said she'd handle it, but nothing was done. I complained twice more that day. The gentleman seemed to understand and went off to “fix it,” yet on the second morning we still had no hot water. It was a terrible two-night stay.
