Street Art Hotel Roma

The noise made it impossible to sleep, even with the earplugs the hotel provides. Sirens, traffic, and trucks were constant, and the rooms are tiny. Cleanliness was a 2 out of 5. The artwork was a bit scary to wake up to, and the whole place felt mundane with bad vibes. The rooftop bar's snacks were terrible, while the basement restaurant didn't have most of the things it offered. I don't understand the praise for the location: there's literally nothing around, so you have to Uber everywhere. We booked based on earlier reviews, and what a letdown, there are so many other options in Roma Norte.

I wanted to give this hotel a better rating, honestly. I'm writing on my first night in room 705, which I was excited about because it's on the top floor. But the street noise during the day was unbearable, and even as a heavy sleeper I couldn't nap. I traced it to a gap between the balcony door and the wall, which seems like cheap, poor construction and an easy fix. When I entered the room, a metal screw went straight through my shoe sole. The door's security chain had pulled out of the drywall because it wasn't secured properly, leaving screws on the floor. After a long day I came back hoping to sleep, only to find the noise was coming from the hotel's rooftop music as well as the street. A hotel may not be able to control outside noise, but its own bar blasting music into rooms and keeping guests awake, along with such poor build quality, is ridiculous. It's a shame because the service is nice and the hotel and rooms look great. If you need rest, this isn't the place.

Everyone was kind and ready to help, and the room was really comfortable. The location was perfect too. I had an incredible stay and will definitely come back on my next trip.

The rooftop was amazing, though it was closed while we were there, which was fine. The hotel is beautiful and new, with artsy rooms and comfortable beds. It's in a nice part of the city and has a relaxed coffee bar. I'd recommend it.
