Hotel Edelmira

It was clean and felt safe, pretty much what you’d expect for this price. I’d stay here again.

We stayed three nights and used the hotel as a base for visiting places like Chiflon falls and Los Lagos de colores. It’s a decent budget choice in central comitan, where there don’t seem to be many great options. The rooms are basic, clean, and well maintained. Ours was a junior room with a seating area and lots of closet space. The bathroom was comfortable and clean, though there wasn’t much room to put toiletries or clothes while showering. Hot water did come, but took a while, and I felt a little guilty letting the water run until it arrived. The room wasn’t well insulated from traffic or hallway noise, but the hotel was quiet overall, so it didn’t bother us. As with other hotels at this price, we only got bath towels, no hand towels. Parking in a garage just below is included, which is a nice perk.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the service good. The location is excellent, just a few steps from the Zocalo.

There wasn’t much air conditioning, and the windows in our room opened onto a hallway, which felt uncomfortable. The place was clean and well located.
