I don't usually leave bad reviews, and some things were manageable: the nine-person room was small and not very clean, there was one bathroom for everyone with no hot water, and the kitchen had only a broken knife and a spoon. What I found absurd was being refused a glass of water when we came to collect our luggage before leaving, just because we were no longer guests. If you want to spend little and aren't looking for much luxury, this could suit you. Just don't expect much hospitality.

The staff were pleasant, though they didn't know a great deal. I stayed five days, and nobody cleaned, made the bed, or emptied the bathroom bin during that time. Still, it was good value as a base in Comitan. The location is especially handy, an easy walk from both the bus station and town centre. My room was adequate, with a comfortable bed and ensuite bathroom. The sockets are awkwardly placed, so I needed an extension lead to use my laptop from the bed. There's a small table, but no chair.

The internet was poor, and the receptionist took a long time to give us the Wi-Fi password, which we found very hard to understand. There wasn't much customer focus from them. Talking with another person who worked at the hostel was a better experience. The location is good, right next to the colectivo to el chiflon waterfalls. The rooms were clean, had fans, and the showers had warm water.

It's an okay, cheap place if all you need is somewhere to sleep for the night. The rooms were clean and fine, but the Wi-Fi was so slow I couldn't even use it.
