Hotel Los Pinos

The room was awful, smelly, and dirty. The bathroom was unhygienic.

The morning receptionist was incredibly kind when we lost a cell phone at the adventure park. We asked whether the hotel could help us get there, and she went out of her way to find options and offer solutions. Thanks to her help, we got our phone back. We didn't expect that level of customer service, and want to thank the staff before our last night. We'll definitely return! 😉 The hotel is right in the city center, with everything nearby. The rooms are decent value, and the mattresses and pillows were comfortable. Our room had a mini-split air conditioner, which helped since it was cold. We had no trouble with the water or hot water, and the two extra towels we requested arrived promptly.

It's a basic place, nothing fancy, but works well for an overnight stop. Being so central makes it easy to get pretty much anywhere. The staff are attentive, and the maintenance man is efficient when you need a hand.

It could have been a nice hotel for a short stay, but the water and electricity problems made it a terrible ordeal. Water was shut off for several hours each day, and sometimes the power went out too. You had to tell them when you planned to use the bathroom or shower so they could turn the water back on.
