Hotel Marielena

The location is hard to beat. You’re right in the plaza, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, a doctor, a church, ice cream places, and more. We’ve visited every few months and, when there’s a room, have chosen to stay here for eight years. The restaurant on site and the friendly, professional staff keep bringing us back. We ask the staff for help and have never been disappointed. We’ve always felt welcome, and the fantastic manager and one of the women speak good English and help me whenever I need it. It’s a very clean, comfortable place, with nice rooms and beds where you can relax. There’s a lovely pool and secure parking too. The hotel has an old-fashioned, classy Mexico feel, which I’m proud to show my friends. If you want a modern Hilton, this probably isn’t for you. I hope they never change that old feel. A+. ~Erica

The staff are really kind and helpful. They found us a guide for the hike we wanted to do, and were always friendly. The restaurant food is pretty good, though a little pricey. You can get a better deal at "el doc" for food that’s just as good. For the price, this is a good deal.

We thought the 2300mx pesos price was well worth it. We’d luckily stumbled across this stylish hotel when we arrived in Cuatrocienegas at 2 a.m. one Saturday. The next morning, staff suggested a few activities. What a magical little town!

The restaurant was superb! I can’t comment on the hotel itself. It couldn’t make the food WOW hot, but the flavor was right on. I’d recommend cortadello” Donua Toya”. Stop in and get some! Worth the time and money!
