Hotel Real de Cuautla

The manager welcomed us right away, even though we had to come straight in because there was no parking available. After checking us in, he showed us around and went over everything. We had a wonderful experience from the moment we arrived.

The bathroom looks really old and needs to be replaced. The rooms are extremely basic, really only somewhere to sleep. I was there for an event nearby and didn't try the pool or any of the other amenities. The night manager was very kind and waited for us to arrive. I can't say whether the location is good or bad since I don't know the area, I just chose the closest place to the event.

The owner is friendly, the service is very good, and everything was clean. They were especially thoughtful toward older guests and people with disabilities. Homemade food can be brought to your room or out to the garden. It's a good value and well located, though the area feels a little dark at night. The parking is around the corner on an unpaved street, and they keep you waiting before opening it. Waiting there alone felt a bit unsafe. If there's room in the entrance lot, I'd leave the car there instead.

We had a really good weekend here. The staff provided excellent service, and the rooms were clean. Finding the place can be a little tricky, but once there, things were great. Food is available for delivery to the room, pool area, or small dining room, and the prices are good.
