Hotel Antigua Posada

A relaxing, pleasant place with a traditional feel, close to the city center, shops, and restaurants. The room was good, with a TV, and there’s a small swimming pool in the yard.

Breakfast was good, and the staff were kind and very helpful. The place could use some upgrades, but it was OK.

I’ve stayed here for a long time when traveling from Monterrey to Guerrero, stopping in Cuernavaca along the way. The staff have always been super attentive, and my stays were pleasant. I never had problems with dirt or mistreatment like I’ve read in the comments. Today, though, I came to check in and was told it’s closed and no longer a hotel. That’s a shame. People who left negative reviews could have contacted management to ask for solutions instead.

The place is run down and doesn’t look like the photos. The bathroom has poor ventilation and smells unpleasant, and the TV is too small. They don’t provide extra blankets or comforters, which was a problem because it gets cold in the early morning in December. Their “family-friendly” motto means you can’t bring drinks in. That conservative approach makes it uncomfortable, and the terrace isn’t much use for enjoying yourself. Outside parties were loud at night, making it hard to sleep.
