Hotel & Spa Hacienda de Cortes

We went for brunch, then took a walk through the gardens and historic buildings. The food was delicious and nicely presented, and the restaurant service was above average. Hacienda Cortes has a hotel and spa, though we didn’t stay overnight or use the spa. The gardens and restaurant are gorgeous, and the grounds are very well maintained. The site has served as a sugar refinery, distillery, and grand hacienda. A wonderful place to visit and have a meal.

I was there as a wedding guest, and it was fantastic from the ceremony through the party. The atmosphere was great and the food was unmatched. Easily the best wedding I’ve ever attended! ♥️

I had dinner to finish off the day, and the mushroom and flor de calabaza soup, salmon, and aperol spritz were delicious. Earlier, I’d had breakfast at the restaurant with my family, then spent the rest of the day on my own. Karen from the Spa had arranged my Spa Day Pass and helped me through the process over WhatsApp, including giving recommendations. She kept up the excellent service when I arrived and even had the jacuzzi turned on for me. I also loved the Jamaica mezcal margarita. Adriana was attentive and kind while doing my pedicure, and Esperanza gave me a truly relaxing massage. I enjoyed the sauna and the waiting room with a berries tea as well. A wonderful experience. I’ll come back on my next visit and bring family or friends!

The room was overpriced for what it offered. It smelled like a drain, and the bathroom needs improvement. The windows need soundproofing to block noise from the events they host. Front desk staff were deplorable at both helping and resolving problems. They were just on their phones and didn’t seem interested in finding a solution. Poor value for money.
