Suites Altea

The room they eventually gave us was called a “suite,” but its glass door to the shared garden wouldn't lock. The way we were treated before that was disgraceful. We booked through Expedia, and the payment was automatically charged to our card. We got a confirmation email, so everything seemed fine. On check-in day, it took 10 minutes for someone to answer the doorbell. A woman who didn't introduce herself then demanded cash at the gate, saying they NEVER accepted reservations that hadn't been paid in cash on arrival. We showed her the Expedia reservation and payment, but she rudely refused us and slammed the door in our faces. For an hour, we talked with Expedia on the phone while also dealing with the incredibly rude woman. She brought in another woman as “the owner,” who also said no payment had come through and that guests had to pay cash on site. We finally spoke with “the owner” of the place, and only then did they confirm the reservation. Once it was “resolved,” they suddenly had that famous payment after all. One star because I can't give a negative rating. Thieves work here. I think this place has people running a scam, and I'm sure others have been taken advantage of too.

Great service, and a great place for a weekend. 👏

Sheets weren't changed, and the maintenance and cleaning were terrible. The staff are poorly managed and do whatever they want with customers. Lies, and more lies.

Very nice and excellent value for the money. The pool water was super cold, though.
