Hotel Casa Sol

It's a basic hotel a couple of blocks from the center, with its own parking and good service. The staff are friendly and attentive. It's close to the Volador roundabout, takes credit cards, and has TV, hot water, internet, and local artisan products.

The location is excellent, and the bathroom was clean, the water supply was steady, and the fan worked perfectly. Still, humidity is part of life in beautiful Cuetzalan, and the rooms could use repairs. Mine had been neglected, with lots of cobwebs. I told reception, and they lent me a broom to clear them myself. If your budget allows, I think it's worth considering other places.

It's quiet, clean, and peaceful, with plenty of hot water, and the prices are affordable. This simple place is a few blocks from the park and feels safe and family-friendly. Shops are only a few houses away. Just around the corner is a rustic house selling all kinds of wood-fired stews with handmade tortillas. The women cooking and serving are very kind and clean, and most wear traditional clothing from their hometowns. Their prices are very reasonable, too.

It's a clean, comfortable, pleasant hotel in an excellent location, and the staff were friendly and attentive the whole time. The toilet tank didn't work and there was no shower curtain, so they brought us buckets, which wasn't very convenient. Still, I'd recommend the place. It's nice that they provide water and soap.
