I stayed again on 11/28/19, and this time I understood more. There were cockroaches in the bedroom, and they were disgusting 🤢, not even the big ones. On my earlier stay, I thought it was a great place: perfect location and only $32 a night, so inexpensive.

It’s clean and the price is right, but you can hear people next door as if they were in the room with you. In room 403, the AC at its lowest setting barely felt cooler than outside. The room could use a few upgrades: cover the electrical panel, add a towel bar by the sink and a rack by the shower, and provide a few extra towels. A power strip with USB ports on the desk would help too. I’d swap the microwave for a keyless safe, and change the white cabinet doors above it back to match the rest.

There’s a small shopping center right next to the hotel, with some pricey but good places to eat. The sushi spot nearby is good and charges typical sushi prices. OXXO is about five blocks away, and from morning until 1:30 PM Monday through Saturday, there’s a tiny taco place serving some of the best carne asada tacos in Mexico. The hotel itself is a nice place to crash for a couple of nights, and they may let you check in early if a room is available.

The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly. I enjoyed staying here and will definitely come back!
