For our anniversary I booked a romantic dinner on the beach through the resort, and it was wonderful. The table faced the ocean, with just enough light to see, love songs softly playing, and an unbelievably beautiful setup. The four-course meal with champagne was amazing, and much better than the resort restaurants. Benito was our waiter and took care of us attentively from beginning to end. He was the soft-spoken star who helped make the whole evening feel as romantic and perfect as possible.

This used to be part of the palace resort chain, with a zoo, a nature park, a beach, and cenote swimming. It was damaged by a hurricane and sold. It was only partly reopened and is now abandoned. Security seems sketchy, so it's best to avoid.

A wonderful vacation, absolutely perfect! Mr. Alberto PechYah at the Tropical reception desk looked after us efficiently and professionally. They are truly humble, kind people.
