We couldn't get a decent night's sleep. We're over 1.94 meters tall, which is why we booked a king-size bed, but they gave us a single “suite” with two standard double beds. The employee who dealt with us was dismissive and unprofessional, denied there was a problem, and made no attempt to help. The beds were too small for us. The mini-split air conditioner didn't work, there was no TV cable, and the bathroom was filthy, with hair everywhere. The fan over the bathroom, which turns on with the light, made a horrible, extremely loud and annoying noise. Getting in from the parking lot was another hassle. It's behind the hotel, and after parking you have to walk all the way around the block to reach the main entrance. I don't understand why there's no direct access from the lot. The cathedral is next door, so its bells ring every hour and kept waking us. We don't usually sleep late, but we'd attended a wedding the night before and our rest was interrupted over and over. All this cost an absurd 2,499 Mexican pesos for one night. A friend on the same trip paid 2,600 pesos for three nights in a double room with the same type of beds at Posada San Agustín, a beautiful, warm, clean hotel where I was glad to spend the rest of my trip. The whole stay was the worst vacation experience. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!

The hotel had a relaxed, quiet feel and was clean and quaint. It's right on the main shopping street, with shops and restaurants all around. The Cathedral was about 30 steps away, and the city square was across the street, with even more places to eat and shop, plus the Mining Tunnel Museum, which was pretty cool. It was perfectly placed for walking almost everywhere. I'd highly recommend it.

The area stays busy but doesn't feel overcrowded, especially at night. There are lots of attractions within walking distance, plenty of Ubers nearby, and most places except credit cards. It's about 25 minutes from the airport. The Cathedral, one of Durango's most important architectural landmarks, is right next door, so this is a perfect place to stay when visiting Durango.

The street the hotel is on is closed to traffic, so it can be a little hard to find. Once there, though, we found a beautiful boutique hotel with warm, wonderful people. Our suite was very nice and spacious.

The location was great, right in the center with lots of sightseeing nearby. The service was extremely disappointing. The workers were unfriendly and wouldn't help with our luggage or answer our questions. Water from the clogged shower drain spread through the bathroom and into the bedroom. We asked several times to get it fixed, but nothing was done. The waiter in the hotel restaurant was also unfriendly and outright rude. The nightly rate isn't worth the service. I'd never stay here again and definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know.
