The location right on the beach is exquisite. Sitting on the terrace and looking out at the sea takes your breath away. The house is beautiful and immaculately clean, clearly very well cared for, with lots of amenities and everything you could need and more. Sara and her daughter Arte pay tremendous attention to detail. They’re both so kind and thoughtful, and they go out of their way to help guests have a great stay. They can point you to laundry, moto taxi, food delivery, and places to buy fruit, vegetables, and fresh bread. We feel so lucky to have stayed at Casa de las Tortugas, and we can’t wait to return!

Of the several places we’ve rented in El Cuyo, Yucatan, this has been the best so far. There are only two rooms and one bathroom, and the decor is lovely, with wooden curtains, old-style construction, and a little palapa porch. There’s a restaurant next door, so you don’t have to cook if you don’t want to.

The hosts were excellent, friendly, and very helpful. The place is beautiful and comfortable, right on the beach. I’d definitely return and highly recommend it ♥️

The backyard photo shows the view. The house is very nice, and the hosts are friendly. It’s a prime spot, just 20-30 steps from the sea, where you can swim in El Cuyo’s emerald water.
