The restaurant had very few gluten-free choices, and because we'd prepaid for the room and meals, we didn't have much flexibility. They also charged a lot for Wi-Fi. On top of that, payment was required by credit card, and the conversion rate they used was poor. If we come back, we'll handle things differently. Fool me once...

The pool area is the reason for the two stars. The tiles around it are incredibly slippery. We saw several children fall, and even though I took care getting out, I still slipped and needed four stitches to repair my head. Management did nothing afterward, not even an apology. Fortunately, the doctor who treated me was just three doors away and came to our hotel room. The rest is a standard, inexpensive hotel: clean rooms with tile floors, and some have 17-foot ceilings. In the middle of summer, the air conditioning was a lifesaver. Breakfast was included, cooked to order, with fresh seasonal fruit and good coffee. Everything in town is nearby.

Just outside centro, in a lovely building. The rooms are simple but spotless, and there's a nice pool with a water slide.

The place has the feel of a genuine Colonial-era mansion, with rooms decorated with care. Service was impeccable. I highly recommend it.
