Olas de Cerritos

The pool and jacuzzi are perfect when it’s windy or after the sun goes down. The hotel is a fantastic little place, with very friendly staff and a host who knows a lot about the area. The breakfasts and location alone make it worth staying. It’s a five-minute walk to the beach and restaurants.

The breakfasts are included, and there are three choices, all delicious every time. The hotel is just a five-minute walk from the beach and lends out all the fun beach gear you’d want, including surfboards and boogie boards. Since my daughters live in Cerritos, we visit several times a year, and this is our go-to hotel. The staff are incredible, and the owners live in a house on-site, so it feels cared for like a home and you feel like family. There’s a real sense of community. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. Some have kitchenettes with less bathroom space, but we like having the mini fridge, sink, and burner, especially on longer stays. Without a kitchenette, there’s a public fridge with a basket for your room number where you can store things. As long as this hotel is open, we won’t stay anywhere else, and we expect it to stay open forever because it’s so great!

We had a wonderful stay with my two kids. The staff were so accommodating, and breakfast was great. There are surfboards, boogie boards, and chairs available to borrow each day, which was such a nice perk. The location worked perfectly for us. We'll be back!

We planned to stay ten days and ended up adding another fourteen. Brendan and Wendy, the owners, are genuinely lovely and welcoming, and the staff were always friendly and happy to help. The whole hotel and the rooms are spotless, and breakfast each day was delicious, home-cooked food. It's also easy to walk along the beach or head to one of the many nearby restaurants. Such a beautiful oasis. We'll come back.
