Breakfast was a highlight, with a good selection that changed each day: watermelon, cantaloupe, yogurt, granola, eggs, sausage, salsa, fried potatoes, fresh orange juice, and a café machine. The hotel is also close to just about everything Mexico City has to offer, from historic sites and restaurants to late-night spots. In my view, it's a five-star place. This was my first stay at a Wyndham property in Mexico, and despite the mixed Google reviews, I had an amazing experience. Booking through the Wyndham app was easy. Our flight landed around noon and we got to the hotel at about 1 p.m. The professional, courteous staff at the front desk spoke both Spanish and English. Our room wasn't ready until 3, so they offered to store our bags securely. We went for an early dinner and spent a couple of hours looking around the city before coming back. We were on the fifth floor. The elevator worked well, the room was spacious enough for two, and it was spotless. The bed was comfortable and the shower had great hot water pressure. There was an air conditioner and ceiling fan, and they kept the room cool during the day. We had no problems at all.

The room rate would have to be under 750 pesos for me to consider staying again. The location is decent and the rooms are clean, but they're tiny, and most have only interior windows. It was 47 degrees F outside and our room was still hot. The building carries every sound: doors opening, breakfast being prepared, conversations, even the roar when a neighbor turns on a fan. Breakfast was adequate. For what we paid, it was terrible value.

I came away with a good experience, though you should know what kind of place this is before booking. It's a budget hotel and hostel in the middle of a major city. I expected kind, helpful service, an inexpensive room that was clean and comfortable, decent Wi-Fi and breakfast, a safe for valuables, and a great location. I got all of that. Everyone I met was incredibly friendly. I saw a review calling the staff horrible, but that wasn't my experience, and I think I spoke with almost everyone. My Spanish is limited, but I try, and people in Mexico appreciate the effort and try to use the English they know. A few practical things: rooms in this category, including almost any hotel like it, generally won't have air conditioning or heat. My private room had an outdoor-facing window I could open and a ceiling fan, which matters because Mexico City can get very hot. The MX-branded hotels accept the digital Wyndham Rewards card, in case you forget the physical one. Staff may not be used to guests with Wyndham status, so if you're expecting a particular benefit, like free early check-in, it may help to print the details in Spanish. Housekeeping in Mexico often enters without knocking. Lock the door and put up the Do Not Disturb sign. They may still come in or knock. It seems standard, and they're doing their job, not trying to be rude or racist. Please be kind, and if you get good service, even a small 50-100 peso tip matters more than you might realize. If you need quiet, downtown may frustrate you. The city center is lively, and people are out enjoying themselves. Go join in and you'll be welcomed. It's a more the merrier kind of place than the United States. Headphones might help if outside noise bothers you. Getting around downtown can be slow, and driving a rental car can be confusing. I missed my flight because the trip back to the airport took so long, but instead of buying the next ticket out, I found something I wanted to do and stayed longer. That part of the trip was much better. Be kind, and remember that when you travel abroad, people may see you as representing your whole country. Being rude or breaking local laws can affect more than just you.

The room was over 90 F with no windows, air, or even a large fan. I got lightheaded despite drinking water, so I had to find another hotel. I had booked multiple days and hoped to get a refund, but they claimed it was policy. The policy says up to, not that they will, so they should keep the charge for one night and refund the others. The customer service was terrible, and they were not accommodating at all. Zero stars. Trash.

The room is basically a bed, a foot of clearance, and a wall, plus a bathroom. It's cheap and straightforward, but neither filthy nor awful. I wasn't looking for a hotel vacation while visiting Mexico City, so it was what I needed. The location is good and the price is low.
