Mexico City Hostel

It's a lovely, very clean building and a good hostel. I was uncomfortable with them letting someone sleep in the common room right beside the women's toilets. He was making strange noises, and my wife was scared to use the toilet at night, so I had to go with her and stand guard. I told the night watchman, but he just shrugged.

The location is great, only three minutes from the Zócalo, and the place was quiet with hot water. The room was nice, though it could've used a wardrobe and a warmer comforter. Being right in the city center also means it's in a dangerous area, with so many police around.

Worth the money. The room was clean and looked like the picture, the reception stays open 24 hours, and it's right in the center, so it's easy to walk places. Would recommend!

The location is excellent, right across from Zocalo, and the place felt safe, spacious and reasonably priced. Towels are provided, there's free water and coffee all day, and the rooftop terrace is nice. The huge lockers were useful, too, and the rooms were okay. Toilets, showers and the rest of the hostel were kept basically clean, with reception open 24 hours. Some rooms are a long way from the bathrooms, which wasn't very convenient. The bunk beds felt unstable and made a lot of noise when people climbed up or down, and you have to make your own bed. While I was there, a school group was running around and shouting. Staff didn't seem to care about the noise, and in general I found them a bit indifferent, not especially friendly or engaged.
