Hampton Inn by Hilton Guadalajara-Aeropuerto

The rooms are a little dated, which I already knew, but renovating them would make the place twice as nice. I was really happy with my stay. The front desk agents were super kind and patient with my limited Spanish, and even offered to help book a taxi to the concert I was going to. The shuttle driver was great both times, too. Muchos gracias 😊

There's a Denny's and Chili's right next door, but otherwise not much around. The location is okay for a couple of nights at most. Check-in was quick, staff speak English, and the breakfast was surprisingly good. Service overall was decent. The rooms are clean and functional, but very dated, like stepping back to the 1980s. They need a renovation or at least a refresh. The shower pressure was weak.

The pleasant staff and service were the good part. But our room, Room 328, smelled strongly like wet dog and felt very humid. The wall-mounted air conditioner was extremely loud and didn't work well. The temperature control was basically freezing cold or nothing. It's conveniently near the airport and has a shuttle, but there's nowhere to walk except Denny’s or Chilis. The building feels old and needs repairs and updates. For what we paid, better options are available. We stayed at the Holiday Inn next door the following night for the same price, and it was noticeably cleaner, quieter and more comfortable. I wouldn't stay here again without significant improvements.

There's not much to see or do around here, it's in the middle of nowhere 😀. Chilli's and Denny's are next to the hotel, otherwise you'd have to go into town. Breakfast was poor, just an omlet and a few other things, with only 2 choices. The rooms are clean, comfortable and on the larger side. I could have used more light, and the air cond. was quite loud, but it didn't bother me. The pool is below average and the fitness center is very small. I don't think there's anything else in terms of facilities.
