Christian was the standout for me, running around to take care of guests by the pool, at the beach, and with room deliveries. He went above and beyond and gave us great food recommendations. Housekeeping was lovely too. Without Christian and a few other nice people around the resort, I'd give it 3 stars, mostly for the location and great pool and beach. A few rude staff interactions spoiled parts of our stay. When our group of three returned safely in an uber at 3 am, staff made us uncomfortable with a comment like, "do you even know what time it is". We're young, on vacation, and having fun, and being policed over what time we came back felt weird when clubs and bars mostly close around 4 am. We were also charged twice for an omelet I couldn't eat because the first one had cheese and I'm lactose intolerant. The menu didn't say it had cheese, and our server didn't warn us we'd pay for a second omelet before taking away the untouched first one. We had also asked whether it was cooked in butter or oil, so he could have mentioned the cheese then. When we spotted the extra charge on the bill and asked about it, the server rudely just said "yep". We paid $140 for breakfast for three. It felt strange to be treated that way as hotel guests, especially when I couldn't eat what I'd paid for. They should at least list the details on the menu. There were a couple of smaller issues too. Our maya double room had no mini fridge when we arrived, so one had to be delivered and installed after we called. The bathroom fan didn't work. Other than that, the room was spacious and okay for our four nights. The pool, Christian, and housekeeping were awesome, but the rest was a mixed experience.

The biggest disappointments were the cold pool, which definitely wasn't heated, and the crowded jacuzzi because of it. The weather in Ensenada isn't hot, so a heated pool really matters. The bathtub didn't work and the shower pressure was poor, and fixing those would make the stay much better. The restaurant looks beautiful and the food is delicious, but the prices felt too high when we could find great food four minutes away for a quarter of the cost. The day passes they recently started selling also make the pool area too crowded. It feels unfair to pay for a night and then not be able to enjoy the amenities much. There is a lot to like too. The place is spacious, peaceful, beautifully designed, and secluded, which made us feel comfortable and safe. The bike path and beach area are gorgeous and great for kids. The crew were nice and helpful, the views were lovely, and the rooms were clean and spacious, many with ocean views. We enjoyed our stay so far, but a few upgrades are needed.

The massage my wife and I had was the most relaxing either of us can remember. We also loved the roomy space and amazing balcony views, and the restaurant served great food. We stayed over our wedding weekend and would happily recommend it. Thanks for having us. We’ll be back.

We were there for the NORRA 500 finish and got to drive our vehicle through the arena as the finish line. The post-race party venue was really nice, the parking lot was close, and the staff serving food and drinks were very friendly. The food was about a seven out of ten. Our room had an amazing view and was spacious and clean. Staff quickly brought us an extra set of sheets, and the sheets were comfortable. The bed itself was firmer than I like, though, and I brought my own pillow. The shower fan wasn't working, but we were only there one night and didn't ask to have it fixed. If you're in Ensenada and heading south, I'd recommend staying here.

Las Terrazas Restaurant is a must for the view, drinks, food, and service. I loved the experience. Try the Margarita Cadillac!
