Hacienda Bajamar Golf Resort

We were here for a wedding, and it was a great place for one. There are ocean views and a beautiful golf course, and the food was excellent, especially the pizza. The drinks are strong. Puerto Nuevo and Encenada are about 20 minutes away for great lobster.

Dear Ms. Armenta, The continental breakfast at Bajamar Ocean Front Golf Resort this morning was a major disappointment, especially given the premium price we paid for our stay. There was very little to choose from, and what was offered was poor: stale pastries, fruit that wasn't fresh, and beverages we found unpalatable. This fell far below what we expected from a resort with this reputation and the standards it claims to uphold. We chose the resort based on its acclaimed reputation, so this left us feeling deceived and profoundly disappointed. Guests paying a significant amount should not have to accept such poor quality or a service experience so far from what was promised. We plan to post about our dissatisfaction on social media to alert potential guests to the gap between the marketing and the actual service. We hope management addresses these issues so future guests don't have the same experience. We await your prompt response and would like to hear how you intend to put this right.

The scenery is amazing, and the staff are kind and professional. I wish there had been patio chairs on the balcony so I could enjoy the view from my room, and a mini fridge would have been nice too. Otherwise, everything was great. Beautiful place, perfect location.

The Sunday buffet was crazy good, with fresh fruit and juices, made-from-scratch empanadas, and authentic dishes you don't really get in the States. The other meals were excellent too. The golf course is spectacular, with well-kept greens for the most part, though the fairways could use a little love. The last four holes run along the cliff edge for pebble beach-level golf, and on a clear day you can see the ocean from nearly every hole. The carts and practice area were the only letdown; both were well past needing updates. Our Jr. suite was spacious, with a separate bedroom, one bathroom, and a good-sized living room with a sofa bed. My in-laws booked the same room type, but theirs had no partition and two bathrooms. We were on the first level and had a large patio connecting the bedroom and living room. The kitchen was nice, with a medium-sized refrigerator/freezer, microwave, and coffee maker. Bring your own water to drink and brush your teeth with. The shower pressure was good, but the water smelled of sulphur. The building is gorgeous, nice for walks, and the courtyard is great for social media pics. Staff were friendly and helpful. Some spoke English really well and others didn't, which was absolutely fine.
