The rooms were clean, the AC worked, and I had hot water. Parking behind the gated wall seemed secure, and nobody touched anything in my room, though I didn’t leave anything there when I was out. Several places to eat, from a taco cart to sit-down dining, were within walking distance. There’s an Autozone and a mechanic shop across the street too, which I appreciated while I was having car trouble. It’s near the south end of town and suited where I needed to be. There’s no pool, and it’s not a resort. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if the situation came up, though thankfully it won’t. There was nothing negative about my stay. I stayed 8 or 9 days after first arriving in Ensenada in August 2023. The price was nowhere near the 1641 pesos listed on this page, or the 330 pesos on the street-facing sign. That should have been a clue about the kind of hotel it was: 330 pesos was for an hour or two. I paid closer to $50 USD per night. The staff weren’t very friendly, though maybe that should have been expected given the establishment.

Right on Highway 1, so the traffic is loud, especially at night. The shower water is salt water, and the heater never worked even though they said they’d fix it. The mattress and sheets need replacing, and the place needs serious maintenance. I’d call this a motel, not a hotel, and wouldn’t recommend staying more than one night or bringing kids. I won’t be back. For 400 pesos more, you can get an actual hotel in a better location, if you believe you get what you pay for.

The place was very clean inside and out. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were roomy, and the showers were large with no hot water issues. There was WiFi, a big flat-screen TV, and a mini-split for AC and heat. It was reasonably priced and close to town. I only held back a fifth star because the sheets and comforter could have been better.

On my latest visit, October 14th and 15th, I was in room 15, which they consider a suite. The weekend rate had risen from $55 to $70 per night. The room was clean and quiet, and the bed was comfortable. The shower head needs replacing, and it took around 30 minutes for the water to warm up. When I got back from dinner, power was out in my section. I was the only known guest there, so maybe they’d turned it off to save electricity. It came back on after I told the person at the front desk. Earlier, I’d stayed one night in room 13 for $25. It was a very nice room, and I’d definitely stay again. The place was partly under construction then.

It looks clean and has secured parking, but this is a pay-by-the-hour hookup place. That’s why it’s cheap, and most rooms have a stripper pole and a position chair. I didn’t think it was very clean or hygienic, so I went down the street and paid twice as much. It was worth it.
