The cabin was a peaceful, beautiful place to get away, with nightlife still not far off. About 20 minutes north, you can visit the famous vineyards in Guadalupe, Ensenada. They also offer their own private red wine, semi-sweet and full of robust flavor.
We came as a family and found plenty of spots to sit together, plus a grill and a pool. It was too cold to swim that day, but we used all the other areas and really enjoyed unwinding there. A nice break from the city.
Bear Cabin was comfortable, romantic, and really quiet, just right for a couple. The jacuzzi had an issue, but they fixed it fast and gave us a bottle of wine as a thank-you. The family running the place was attentive and very friendly. Just know the ranch sits in a canyon, so there's no ocean view.
A pleasant, quiet spot for couples. For the drive in, I'd take the toll road since it's easier to manage in a sedan.
It was freezing inside, with no heating, and several broken windows let even more cold air in. The place is far from the center, up a hill beside a mountain. The photos don't make that clear 😢.
