The camp dogs were lovely company while we sat outside with a glass of wine, and the common area has tables with an awesome view across the valley. The tent was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the bathrooms and showers were clean too. The location is perfect for the glamping setup, and the full lake by the tents was beautiful. I heard it dries up in summer. At night and in the morning, you can hear frogs and nature. The ATV wine tour runs right on the property, which is nice, though it gets noisy during an afternoon nap and might be better placed farther from the tents. The little tent heater didn’t work, and neither did the two replacements, so it got very cold at night. We ordered a cheese and wine plate, but it never arrived. The two caretakers were polite and courteous, but seemed too busy with other duties to properly host. I also couldn’t get through to any of the phone numbers with basic questions. We enjoyed our stay, but the place could use a little TLC.

We arrived pretty late and wished we’d gotten there sooner so we could enjoy the place longer. The hosts still welcomed us warmly, showed us around, explained everything, and helped carry our things in. They brought firewood and made a lovely fire, and we had a great time sitting around it and catching up. The location is great, the amenities are excellent, and the bed was very comfortable. There are lots of thoughtful touches, and you can tell a lot of love went into building the space. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We’ll definitely come back for more than one night and explore the nearby wineries.

The lake and vineyard views were stunning, and we even saw ducks swimming there. The lake had been dry for years, so all the rain had brought it back. Being close to wineries also made it easy to explore the local wine scene and get a feel for the region. Friendly wild dogs wandered around the campsite and added a lot of charm. We booked three tents for six adults ahead of time and told them when we’d arrive, but the tents weren’t together. They were close, though, and we all ended up around one bonfire, so it was a small hiccup. We also had a little trouble with the hot water, but staff responded quickly and fixed it. The remote setting was a great break from city life, with beautiful starry skies at night. The tents had electricity, very comfortable pillows and blankets, and a small heater. Showers and flush toilets were a welcome bonus. It was a memorable glamping trip in Valle de Guadalupe, with comfortable amenities and lovely natural surroundings.

We had to work out which tents were ours at reception and find our way around without much help. It would’ve been nice to have someone show us the site and point out our tents. We carried our own luggage from the cars too. Given what we paid for two nights, some help would’ve been welcome. The tent looked cute inside, but the ceiling was covered in mold. My friends found mold in their three tents as well. They really need a power wash. We had to sleep there for two nights. One friend’s lantern didn’t work, and a message to the number they gave us got no reply. I told the cleaning person the next day. She said she’d let the person in charge know, but it still hadn’t been replaced when we returned from wine tasting. I saw her again later, and then it was taken care of. We also had cold showers the first night and morning. Four of us showered at night and the rest in the morning, and the water stayed cold even after we let it run more than three minutes, despite the sign saying to wait one minute. I mentioned it to several people. Later, while talking with one of the guys near the sink area about an ATV trip, I found out the water heater wasn’t plugged in. We thought the next night’s shower would be warm, but it wasn’t, and my friend still had a cold shower on our last night. Maybe the solar setup means the heater doesn’t switch on reliably. If hot water is only available at certain times, they should put up a notice with the best time to shower. We paid $250 for two nights, and even a basic warm shower wasn’t provided. There’s no electricity in the tents. They do provide water and a lantern, plus a charcoal grill, picnic table, chairs, and firewood. The outdoors was nice, the mural by the bathroom was pretty, and sitting by the campfire was great. Still, it’s overpriced for what you get.

We started feeling well looked after as soon as we began arranging the reservation. The team was great, and the place is just right for getting away from the city rush, unwinding, and enjoying a glass of wine. The nights and mornings were lovely, and we left feeling recharged and more connected. It seems like it could become a popular spot for relaxing, spending quality time, and enjoying a bite. Thanks to the team for being so hospitable.
