The room seemed fairly clean, but unfortunately the bedding hadn’t been changed after the previous guest. The best part was having a private garage that led straight into the room. You can reach the garage button from inside your car and close the door without being seen, which fits the place’s emphasis on privacy. Check-in, checkout, and coming back after going out all happen through a blacked-out drive-through window in the lobby. To get back in, give them your room number and name so they can open the garage entrance. They will ask to keep your ID during your stay and return it at checkout, so bear that in mind if you’ll need it.

There was hair in the bathroom and a condom behind the toilet, so the place wasn’t sanitary. I paid for two days, but the next morning the front desk called and threw me out, claiming I’d paid for only one night. I left after getting my ID back, then saw on my statement that I’d been charged for both days even though I didn’t stay the second night. I only wanted a refund for the night I missed. They refused, wouldn’t give me the supervisor’s number, and said they were sorry but couldn’t do anything. They also said the woman who did this had lost wages, so now they had robbed both her and me. I’m a businessman and won’t stay there again. They can’t honor their own mistake, and the disrespect was unbelievable.

We learned the hard way that this place is not for kids. It’s a “one stop party motel for lovers,” and that’s all it is. There were no dresser drawers for our clothes, and we heard loud music and women screaming. We stayed because it wasn’t too expensive and was better than nothing, but there was no privacy or trust. Even a quick trip to the store meant someone had to inspect the room before they’d close the garage door. When we came back, staff had to open it for us. The shower had no door, so we covered it with a blanket to keep from showering in front of the kids. I want to sleep, not hear women yelling “Daddy stop!!” I gave it 3 stars, but hell no, I won’t be back.

There’s an OXXO right beside the motel, plus a couple of taco stands and small restaurants within walking distance. Each time you drive out, staff go to your room to check it before opening the exit gate. The suites feel romantic, with nice furniture and lighting, and the private parking garages are a plus. The living area has carpet, the bathroom has tile, and the shower is big enough for two. Heating and cooling both worked well. My only complaints were that the bed had just a sheet to cover up with and the bath towels were mediocre.
