Hotel del Fresno

We were disgusted and depressed by this hotel. The rooms were filthy, with mold everywhere. Parking was three blocks away, so we had to carry our luggage. It took three room keys to open our door, the TV remote didn’t work, and neither did the AC unit. The bathroom faucet sprayed water straight at you. After a long day of driving, my wife found the bathroom so sickening that she chose not to shower. There has to be somewhere better in town!

The hallway had a musty smell, and the room was really small. We paid almost $50.00 (900 pesos) for one night, with no breakfast included, which honestly wasn’t worth the cost. The front desk staff weren’t friendly at all and acted like they were doing us a favor. The only friendly ones were the young guys who helped by opening the hotel parking area a couple of blocks away. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, and I’ll never stay there again.

The service was nice, but the rooms didn’t live up to what I’d read in recent reviews. The mattresses were old and hard, and the sheets and pillowcases had stains. A dog tied up outside barked all night, repeatedly waking us and making it hard to fall back asleep.

The rooms are clean and well equipped. The location is pretty nice too, just a block’s walk from a good meal at Mendoza restaurant.
