Ágata Hotel Boutique & Spa

Gavino’s breakfasts were delicious, and the massage was outstanding. This four-room boutique hotel in Coyacan gave us a quality experience from start to finish, and the staff and food alone make me want to return. Vania Vasquez was especially kind and made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Thanks for a great visit!

The morning yoga followed by complimentary tea was the best part, and the location is great too. Freida house, markets, and restaurants are all within walking distance. Breakfast was included and tasty, and we enjoyed relaxing massages, though they weren’t the best. My friend and I stayed at Agatha on her birthday. The service was spectacular, and her husband had arranged a lovely birthday display for us. I’d definitely go back!

Coyoacan is a lovely area, especially if you’ve visited CDMX before. It’s a bit far from the main sights, so a first-time visitor could spend a lot of time getting around. The hotel itself is small, comfortable, and beautifully designed. Breakfast was among the best we’ve had at a hotel, and the chilaquiles were the best I tried on this trip to Mexico. The coffee could be better. The staff were very kind, though our terrible Spanish made things a little difficult. I showed up for the advertised yoga class, but nobody was there. Maybe it was because of the bank holiday, or maybe something got lost in translation. We’d happily stay here again if we come back to Coyoacan, which we might!

The location is great, though it’s a little out of the way from central Mexico City. Uber makes that manageable, and the metro bus and metro are worth checking out for cheaper trips. I loved staying here.
