The second room was bearable because it didn’t face the road, though workers banging away all night still made it noisy. The first one, on the third floor, smelled of cigarettes and looked out onto a busy street. With no AC, opening the window wasn’t an option. Check-in was a mess too: the receptionist couldn’t find my reservation for about 10 minutes, then insisted I pay cash for a booking I’d already prepaid. After a heated exchange, the manager said it was fine and checked us in. Breakfast was awful, just old fruit, yogurt and cereal, with cockroaches crawling around. We didn’t touch it. On our second day, we left early for a day trip and the security guard demanded our keys, saying it was “policy” even after we said we didn’t need room cleaning. The front desk confirmed that rule. It felt so strange and unsafe that I went back upstairs to get my valuables before leaving. If I’d known about these problems, I wouldn’t have booked here. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.

For what we paid, the room and service were surprisingly nice. They even gave us a little bag of snacks and juices, a thoughtful touch I’ve never had at a hotel before. Thanks, and I’d recommend staying here! :)

We had a lovely stay, with quick service and a really friendly, helpful concierge and doorman. No problems at all. Prices were reasonable, and it’s easy to get to. There’s a gas station and a 7/11 down the street, plus the hotel has a parking garage.

The manager was lovely and helpful, and spoke quite a bit of English. My room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable, but there was no hot water in the shower and no fan or aircon. I had to sleep with the window open, though the main road was loud either way. I ordered vegan soup, and it came topped with sour cream. Once I scraped it off, the soup tasted good. Be careful getting in and out of the old elevator, it doesn’t line up with the floor. For what I got, the room felt overpriced.

Fine for a night, but tell reception if you have someone staying with you, since one guy told us our guest had to pay extra. The room was large, though it got hot and could use AC. There was no TV remote and not enough outlets. Basic breakfast is included: coffee, orange juice and one sweet bread.
