The service was great and the staff were amazing, but the room was another story. The toilet was clogged, there was fungus everywhere, and it was damp. I took it because of an emergency on 22nd February 2026, with nowhere else to go and no other rooms available. I have no doubt the hotel could be extremely noisy in normal circumstances, since there’s no sound insulation at all.

The hotel is centrally located and has really nice views, making it a great place to experience Guadalajara. If you’re after good food and nightlife, it could be a good fit. The staff are kind and really nice.

You can’t beat the price or location, right next to el Chapu. The staff will help with what you need, and the owners are truly wonderful people. Staying in a 19th century French colonial home is a cool experience for people in their 20s or 30s without kids. It’s a beautiful place.

The neighborhood is convenient, with lots of bars and restaurants nearby, and the staff are very friendly and do their best to help. But the bathroom was clogged and flooded, and the drain gave off unpleasant smells. The room also wasn’t soundproof. There’s a bar just around the corner, and the noise went on all night, making sleep impossible.

Staff were nice, but getting a good night’s sleep is a basic part of staying in a hotel, and this place failed at that. A nightclub next door played very loud music late into the night. Earplugs didn’t help. I spent two nights here and hardly slept, even though I’m not a light sleeper. They should pay you to stay here. I don’t recommend it if you want to sleep at night.
