Fénix Beds Hostel

The bathroom faucet was rusty, the windows were paper thin, and outside noise came straight through. The room was noisy, everything in it was old, and the WiFi wasn’t reliable. I tried to switch hotels but couldn’t find any availability. This was one of the worst places I’ve stayed, and I wouldn’t recommend it. What you see posted online isn’t what you’ll get, so consider yourself warned.

The location was the main draw, and the service was great as well. The room was clean but could use some maintenance. If I return to Guadalajara, I’d consider staying there again.

The location right in the center is a real plus, but the hotel needs a lot of repairs. The beds felt ancient and uncomfortable, and I woke up with bites. The air conditioning was awful, the bathroom door locks didn't work, and the elevator took ages to open and close and seemed to need maintenance. Food was another letdown: we arrived at 2 pm and the buffet had almost nothing, just chicken broth, and the coffee at breakfast was cold. My first room had broken air conditioning. I called reception, and when maintenance came, they didn't know how to fix it, so I asked to move. The reception staff looked annoyed, and we waited 30 minutes. If you're paying for a room, it should work. In the second room, the AC sounded like a helicopter and the TV was broken. I really wouldn't stay here again.

We felt safe here, and the location put us close to everything we wanted to do, including the church, just a few minutes away. My husband and I had a great stay. The service was amazing, and everyone working there was so kind. No issues at all.
