A lovely place for a longer stay, with great terraces where it’s easy to meet people. The hosts and volunteers were friendly, and the neighborhood has plenty for dining and coworking.

Hospedarte Chapultepec felt welcoming, with well-kept shared spaces like the kitchen and garden and a nice social atmosphere for meeting other travelers. It was also quiet enough when I wanted to rest. My room was clean, roomy, and comfortable, with modern touches that made it relaxing. The staff were kind and ready with suggestions or help. You’re right in the Chapultepec neighborhood near restaurants, cafes, and bars, but it still stayed peaceful at night. Good value, and it really felt like a home away from home. I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Guadalajara.

I slept comfortably in a roomy dorm, and the shower was great. The garden has nice hammocks and a lovely cat, though the bare soil makes it pretty dusty. I got by in the kitchen, but it could use more basics: knives, a clean cutting board (the one there is so moldy, you’d die lol), and a few frying pans.

The pub crawl was a lot of fun. The rooftop rooms get really hot in the daytime because there’s no A/C. I also didn’t realize the tequila tour booked through the hostel is in Spanish, so I wouldn’t suggest it if you don’t speak Spanish well.

We enjoyed our stay, and the two cats who live at the hostel were a bonus. It’s a pleasant little place in a handy area for bars and restaurants, with friendly service and relaxed common spaces. The free continental breakfast was fine: coffee, juice, fruit, cookies, and bread. They also offer Mexican breakfast dishes from a menu for an extra charge. In the evenings there’s a small bar with inexpensive drinks, which was great. Our private rooftop room was basic and had no A/C. The bathroom could use a little TLC.
