Hotel Aquiles

Room 13’s bathroom smelled, and the sink had more than one strand of hair in it. It also had no hot water. I’m not sure if the smell came from the pipes or the water. I told the front desk, and they moved me right away to Room 15, which was much better. Its door lock was broken and had to be changed, but it also had an extra chain that the first room didn’t, a nice bit of extra security. The front desk and support staff gave excellent customer service despite the first room. They seemed to be renovating. Wifi was pretty good, and for the price it was pretty good overall. I’d go back if I could get the same room or one as nice for the same price.

The area is quiet, and staff were friendly and helpful. There’s free coffee and cookies at reception. My experience was good overall, though the bathroom door wouldn’t stay shut unless I propped it with a shoe, and the water was only lukewarm. Maybe shower before peak hours.

For an affordable hotel in Guadalajara, this one is pretty good. The room was clean and spacious, the showers had hot water and were great, and I felt safe. It had all the essentials.

I arrived really late and didn’t notice until morning, but there were a few spots of blood on the bed. I put all the sheets on the floor hoping they’d replace them. They didn’t, and that night the same sheets were back on the bed. The pillow also had some green and yellow stain on it. Don’t stay here!!!!!!!!!...
