ALEX at the front desk made our stay. He was patient, had a great attitude, and gave us lots of useful information and suggestions. The hotel is right beside the Basilica, close to everything, and the bed and pillows were so comfortable that I fell asleep as soon as I lay down after a long day of travel and walking. I loved staying in this 300-year-old house turned hotel, and I'll definitely return to Casona Del Truco.

The staff were great, and I liked the place overall. My room, though, was tiny. It was called a "Double Room," and they do have bigger ones. There was no TV in mine. The hotel is very quiet, so noise at night carries and echoes. That's good if you want peace, but it also means you have to be considerate of other guests.

They canceled my booking without warning, and I could have ended up sleeping on the street. I had paid for a room for four, but was given one for three instead. The Wi-Fi didn't work, and the blanket they provided was useless in the cold weather.

A proper local restaurant, with kind staff and tasty food. The portions are generous for a low price, so come hungry.
