I had a clean, spacious triple room with a street-facing balcony, and stayed three nights for a pretty low price. Javier and the staff were welcoming and attentive. The place is under new management with Javier, which has only been in place for a year, so I think it could keep getting better. It’s a short walk from downtown Guanajuato’s restaurants, night clubs, and local attractions, and costs a fraction of the neighboring hotels. A hidden gem, and I’d say give it a try.

The room was small, but clean and quiet, and the hot water had great pressure. I needed somewhere to stay by myself while waiting for my family to arrive. It was just 500 pesos, 25 dollars. Thanks!

We left the Airbnb we’d booked, and this place was definitely better situated. But we did find some big roaches.

There’s no elevator, the stairs are steep, and construction was going on. Still, it was quiet and central, with everything within walking distance.
