Hotel Posada Santa Fe

I had a comfortable king-sized bed and a little balcony, and the staff were friendly and took care of my requests. The hotel impressed me inside and out, right in the heart of the center. Breakfast was my favorite part: you can order a set menu with coffee, a big meal, and either fruit or fruit juice. They serve traditional and American food, so I could switch things up. The shower water took a while to warm, but that was a small issue. I'd be glad to return to Guanajuato and this hotel.

The location in Guanajuato is ideal, and the rooms are great. Parking is the one downside, it's hard to figure out, though a valet is there to help. Can't wait to come back!

No A/C for the price they charge is ridiculous, especially if you're visiting in the summer, so check that the hotel you book has it. They wouldn't work with us, and there are no refunds. The elevator was out of order too, so we had to haul our luggage up the stairs in the heat. A huge heck no. Awful experience, avoid this place at all costs.

I wish I could give zero stars. I booked my vacation online thinking it was supposed to be in Santa Fe New Mexico. When I got to Santa Fe, there was no reservation. They tried to help me there, but apparently it was already too late to cancel the reservation in Mexico. I filed a claim and tried to get my money back, but I guess being American and never having even been to Mexico wasn't enough reason for a refund. They wouldn't grant even a partial refund. There was no reason I'd intentionally book a room somewhere I was never going to go.
