The pool was a huge disappointment. We chose this hotel for it, but it was tiny, uncomfortably cold, and so dirty we didn't use it once during our week there. Late at night, security staff played videos loudly in the lobby, making it impossible to sleep well. The check-in was a complete nightmare, the furniture was old and literally falling apart, and towels were often dirty. The Wi-Fi was less reliable than Mexican tap water. Communication was hard too, since the reception staff didn't speak English and my wife couldn't communicate with them. This was one of our worst hotel stays. It failed at basic hospitality, so save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else.

The front rooms have lovely historic character, but face the road and get heavy traffic during rush hour. The newer rooms at the back are very nice. It's a lovely 1800s building, with friendly, helpful staff. All the rooms are upstairs. I'd definitely stay again.

The old house is beautiful, the rooms are nicely appointed, and the neighborhood feels idyllic. My only issue was the food. It caters to tourists, so it lacked authenticity.

The setting is gorgeous, and the historic town center is within walking distance. The kids loved the little pool and the patio overlooking the La Olla dam. We'll definitely go back.

The hotel itself is nice, but the front desk service was very bad. They have a policy, politicas del hotel, that limits a suite with two beds to no more than 3 people.
