The buffet breakfast was pleasant service-wise, though the food choices were only so-so. Most guests seemed to look over the buffet and then order from the menu. The shower had fantastic pressure, easily the best part of the room, but that didn’t make up for the dirty sheets and pillowcases or the mold in the shower. I spent one night there, and would have moved elsewhere if I’d needed to stay longer. I’d booked at the last minute because the online listing showed enclosed parking, a convenient location, and a casino. Check-in and unloading went smoothly, but when I got back around 1 a.m., the desk said the parking was full. Even though my room included a spot, I was told to use the casino lot. Cleanliness and safety matter most to me in a hotel, and given the room’s condition, I wouldn’t return.

We booked two rooms for the family. One had no internet, a dirty bathroom mirror, and no shower towels. In the other, the bathroom doorknob came off. We told the front desk, but although they acknowledged us, nothing was fixed. We won’t be back and can’t recommend the hotel.

I’ve known this place since it opened, sometime around 1985, I think. On my latest visit it wasn’t as crowded, and the food was good with a nice atmosphere.

There’s a full service bar here, plus a casino with plenty of slot machines. The restaurant has a better than average range of dishes, and the hotel itself offers the basic amenities.

I’ve stayed here five or six times over the past few years and have felt comfortable on every visit. The restaurant is really good and affordable, the rooms are clean, and the service is good. I speak very little Spanish, but the staff still made me feel welcome and quickly sorted out anything I needed. I haven’t tried the other hotels in Guasave, and I can’t really picture myself staying somewhere else. I love the area and plan to come back often.
