City Express Guaymas

The place was clean and nice, and breakfast was really good.

We’ve stayed at this hotel and the Hermosillo locations, and both were lovely. We’d stay again. This has been such a consistently good chain for us that we’d probably choose it whenever there’s a City Express nearby. The rooms are clean and modern, the beds are comfortable, the showers are great, the staff are helpful, and breakfast is delicious. It’s good value, too. My only wish is for pet friendly rooms, but otherwise it suits most of our trips perfectly. Love their hotels!

The hotel itself is pretty good and nice, but I was really disappointed with the service. We were staying two nights in Room 502. We left at 0710 with the CLEAN ROOM TAG on the door and came back at 1145. We napped from 1230 to 1445 with the Do not Disturb tag up, but a cleaner still knocked and woke us. When we left again at 1520, I asked reception to have the room cleaned, since the clean room tag had been up since morning. They simply said service ENDS AT 3. We’d had the DO NOT DISTURB TAG up for only two hours, and the CLEAN MY ROOM TAG the rest of the time. I was amazed that they just smiled and told us, without doing anything about it. I’d booked for next weekend too, but I’m going to cancel. Very disappointed.

I booked a 3 day stay on April 7th of this year, and we drove 13 hours to get there. The room was extremely small and HOT-HOT!! It was much cooler outside. The receptionist was rude and disrespectful, argued with me, and didn’t try to make things better. She yelled, "You are not getting your money back!" I did get my money back already. I believe her name is Masha or Marcia. The staff need customer service training. I’ll never book there again, and I’ll make sure to tell people here in San Diego it’s not a good place to stay. This message is for the manager or person in charge.
