Hotel San Angel

The no-smoking rooms smelled bad, and all the beds had cigarette burns. On top of that, the security guards harassed me about my American plates, even though I was a paying guest staying there.

The buffet was amazing. Five of us ate there, spent less than 100dlls, and sampled a little of everything. The food and service were both great. The pool was nice and warm, about 160mts deep, or roughly 5'2". It’s not expensive, so yes, I’d stay again. We did have trouble with the door locks from the moment we arrived. Sometimes they wouldn’t open, or took a long time. Reception never answered when we called, so we had to walk quite a distance to get the cards remagnetized. We hadn’t put them near anything electric, including watches or cellphones. The rooms were clean and neat, though one of our two rooms had a disconnected refrigerator covered with a sheet.

We found a very affordable room over a holiday, and they still had availability. The buffet was delicious and moderately priced. There’s a free airport shuttle, and our driver Sergio was friendly and patient. He even warmed up the van and let us wait inside. I’ll definitely make this a must when visiting Hermosillo.

Our flight was canceled, so we had to land in HERMOSILLO and find somewhere to sleep. This place was nice and cheap, with a shuttle to and from the airport. Gracias por todo Mexico.
