I can't understand the good reviews. I've never tried to sleep on worse beds. At over 1,000p a night, these rooms cost way too much. If the choice is sleeping in my car or enduring those beds again, I'll take the car.
We expected a lot more, but the service was awful from the moment we arrived for our one-night stay. The man who was supposedly on duty made us wait outside and wouldn't let us into the waiting room because the receptionist wasn't there. He was rude and questioned why we were there. The room was dirty, the towels smelled bad, and the hot water ran out almost right away, so we had to shower in short bursts. The heating never worked and the room was freezing. The beds and pillows were incredibly hard, and cleanliness was extremely poor.
We didn't stay because my grandson was frightened by the huge number of giant grasshoppers in the hallways and around the pool.
The rooms were roomy and very clean, and breakfast was included from 7:30 to 9:30. The mattresses felt a bit firm, though they were fine for a short stop or a couple of nights. I was on vacation with my family and had stayed at other hotels in the city. Some were a little cheaper, but didn’t offer the same quality, so this one felt like good value.
