A clean, quiet, welcoming place to freshen up and relax, and fair for the price. The reception staff were really friendly 🤗.

You can hear birds in the morning thanks to how close it is to the Dulce Nombre plaza, a welcome natural alarm for those of us coming from the city. It's peaceful and feels safe, and being close to the city center but outside the main tourist area means much less nighttime noise. A lovely place to arrive and unwind.

We arrived at night and were welcomed by a very friendly woman. After check-in she explained everything the hostel offers, which I really appreciated since no other place does that. We got the room key and found the room decorated in an antique style that gives it a peaceful feel. It's a great place to rest. The one thing that made me a little uncomfortable was that the hot water for bathing sometimes runs out. We told the woman, and she said she'd keep it in mind.

The rooms have lovely rustic decor, comfortable beds, good quality internet and always hot water, which is great for Huamantla's changeable weather. The place itself is pretty, though a little hard to find even though it's in the garden of the sweet name. Hospitality was moderately good. There isn't a 24-hour attendant, and having its own parking lot would make it feel more reassuring.

The owner hands over the keys and leaves you to enjoy the whole hostel, from the patio to the parking spot, so you have the place to yourself. You can walk around at night without any problem, and the town center is very close, with museums, a church, the central garden and the Huamantla market nearby. They also sell carved stones and delicious pulque in a cozy atmosphere with live music. There are flavors like celery, oats and pine nuts, among others.
