Hotel Renacimiento

The room felt a little cold, but the hotel itself was very nice and quiet.

This was my first and last visit. My elderly dad uses a wheelchair, so they put us in a downstairs room, but the parking service was awful. The attendant left the car in the very last corner and my dad got wet. When I asked for another towel, they made a big fuss, gave me dirty looks, and treated me terribly. The hotel may be cheap, but the reception staff were deplorable. They even demanded payment before I was leaving. There was no bottled water in the room, and it smelled like their underwear, almost like a brothel. They got angry when I politely asked if they could mop or clean it. I truly have no desire to return. The service was deplorable.

The stay itself was pleasant, so I’m not commenting on the hotel. My complaint is about the administrative staff. The new receptionist charged us twice, and we were patient and helped him with the terminal slip because he didn’t know how to use it. Later, after we lost the receipt, the manager and accountant refused to refund us, even though we sent our bank statement. Three days after we asked for the money back, the young man who had helped us no longer worked there. He kindly gave me the manager’s contact details, but the manager still couldn’t resolve the issue and kept refusing to help. They kept 2580 pesos from us unjustly.

Very clean and in a great spot, just three blocks from the Zocalo.
