Hotel Coral Blue Huatulco

The beaches and scenery were lovely, and I thought the food and drinks were good too. What really made the trip for me was the staff: Martine, Mario, SOBRINO, manager Juan, and everyone else I may have forgotten were kind, attentive, and clearly worked hard. I came on my own from Canada, met other Canadians, and had a friend visit from Mexico City. We all had a great time. I've been to Mexico five times, and nowhere else has given me service this good. I'd happily return. Thanks to the wonderful staff!

The little safari truck, a small vehicle with a few rows of seats that runs back and forth now and then, can take you between the beach and the hotel. Walking down the steep safari driveway is another option, or you can use the longer, easier switchback route. Either way takes some effort, but the private beach is worth it, with excellent service and snorkeling right from your lounger. The staff around the property were very friendly, and the food was pretty decent. The rooms, pool, and bars aren't right on the beach. There were a couple of things to sort out, including WiFi and shower water pressure. At the bars, look for Jesus, and at dinner, Martin or Alberto. They're great guys.

Coral Blue has a personal feel because it's small, and it's close enough to walk into town. We especially loved the two private beaches and their great snorkeling reefs. The rooms were beautiful, the pools were great, and there was tasty food and drink available all the time. Everyone on staff was friendly and attentive. We'd highly recommend staying here.

The whole crew went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, and the stay felt like home. Marlene, Petra, Issac, Juan, Martin, Daniela, and the other dining room waitresses were lovely. Jafet at the beach bar and Heriberto the lifeguard helped make it feel that way too.
