Corazon Mexicano Holbox

The rooftop pool and its lovely view were a highlight. Inside, the rooms are spacious, and each one has its own kitchen. The hotel is handy if you're coming in by ferry. The walk to the beach is a little longer than from some other hotels or hostels, but still fine.

The owner was so friendly and helpful, even arranging excursions for us. The place was clean and comfortable, and the location was quiet. I'd definitely stay here again.

We ended up extending our visit, and Alain made room for us without hesitation. He took care of things quickly whenever an issue came up, and really made sure we were comfortable. Corazón Mexicano is close to the centre, but far enough away that the weekend music doesn't carry over. It's also about five minutes from where the ferries arrive. The place was spotless, including the kitchen, and the rooftop pool had a lovely bay view. Everything about our stay felt five-star.

We spent plenty of time on the rooftop, enjoying the pool and the view over the island. The heart-shaped decor in the hotel and rooms was really cute, too. Though it's a little outside the city centre, it's quiet at night and only about a 5-10 minute walk in. Alain also offered rides for 100 pesos. He and his family were welcoming and accommodating. Since we booked outside peak season, he had spare rooms and upgraded us for free. He was also helpful with tour bookings and where to buy SIM cards. One more thing, Alain co-owns Birria La Catrina, the best birria stand I've tried. I highly recommend trying it and staying here.
