The food stood out throughout our stay. Breakfast came with fresh fruit and made-to-order Mexican and international dishes, and both lunch and dinner were very good too. Prices for food and drinks felt reasonable, similar to or lower than other island restaurants of comparable quality. The team was easy to reach on WhatsApp and replied quickly about housekeeping or local tips. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We spent most afternoons going between the beach and the relaxed pool area, with loungers, cabanas, and bar service through the day. The beachfront setting was also lovely for sunset. Delek Resort is on the quieter side of Holbox, about a 10-minute cycle from town, so it felt peaceful while still being easy to get to shops and restaurants. We were glad we chose it. We had to switch hotels at the last minute, and Cloe kindly arranged a room on short notice and stayed late to check us in, making our arrival seamless.

Punta Coco was a perfect location for us, and the staff were so kind and attentive. Delek Hotel has a really special, timeless feel, with a peaceful atmosphere from beginning to end. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and highly recommend it.

The pool, beach, and rooms are beautiful, and the staff were friendly, but the food and service need improvement for the out-of-the-way location to feel worthwhile. The menu is both expensive and limited, without good Mexican options. The best thing we ate was a cheeseburger, which was disappointing. We ended up going out for food, about a 15-minute walk to the nearest place or 30 minutes into town. A taxi costs 200 pesos each way. The hotel could be a good choice if you want a more secluded holiday, since it's far from central Holbox. But service felt disorganized. It took more than 20 minutes for our ice cream to arrive, and by then it was melted.

One thing that made everyday routines annoying was the bathroom design. The long, thick trough sink was about 4 feet by 1.5 feet, shallow, unattractive, and left no useful counter space for toiletries. The shower stall had a big empty area where shelves should have been, so I had to put my things on the floor because the nearest hook was far from the water. It felt like looks had won over practical use. Even so, this was one of my favorite hotels on the trip and I'd stay again. It's away from the busier part of the island, with beachy decor and boardwalks between the different areas. The staff were great and the food delicious, though it took a long time to get food and drinks, as if they were short-staffed. Mosquitos were incredibly annoying, though that's not the hotel's fault. The pool was nice but not very practical for swimming. There's a short walk to the real beach, with gorgeous sunsets every night.

We first stopped at the beach club in a beautiful location for drinks and delicious ceviche, then enjoyed ourselves enough to come back to the restaurant for lunch. The food was fantastic, and Hector and Carlos gave lovely service. The hotel is absolutely beautiful.
