El Faro Beach Front by ÓOL Hotels

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The building has no insulation, and the bar next door played loud music all night. Our bathroom roof also leaked, leaving the floor wet whenever it rained. When we raised the noise problem, staff seemed dismissive and surprised that we expected to sleep, then sent us to Booking.com. Booking.com approved a refund, but the hotel wouldn't reimburse us and said Booking.com would handle payment, even though we'd paid the hotel directly when we arrived. Being close to the beach doesn't make up for that.

We had four fantastic days here and are already planning another trip. The rooms were clean, the staff were great, and the hotel felt safe and close to everything in town. It's right by the water and in a central spot. Expect noise at night from the beach bars next door, sometimes into the early hours. If you're after a quiet, fancy stay, this probably isn't the place, and there are plenty of other options on the island. For friendly people and a location by the water, though, it was fabulous.

The staff were helpful and nice, but getting almost no sleep every night defeated the point of staying at a hotel. There's a bar across from the hotel on the beach, and music blasted until 4 AM. With the wooden structure and no insulation, we could hear neighbors talking, people coming up the stairs, and the DJ. Anyone who can't sleep through noise should know this is a problem. If you want to party till morning and roll into bed beside the bars, it may suit you. The rooms are basic, the bathrooms okay, but the unsealed shower lets water run between the wooden planks. Take care around the closet, since clothes or luggage can get soaked. For the price, the hotel itself is okay, but the sound issue pushed my rating down from the 3 or 4 stars I wanted to give it to more like 1 or 2.

I hate leaving a bad review, but I couldn't sleep here unless I was deaf or blackout drunk. Awful, avoid it if you can.
