The beach is close by, which was a plus. The room itself needed better cleaning and upkeep, especially the shower, floor, and terrace, and the sunbed outside was already dirty when we got there. The pool looked much smaller than it does in the photos, and the water didn't seem clean. WiFi is only available in the restaurant, not in the rooms. Breakfast felt quite restricted. Each person gets one order for one dish, and with no pictures on the menu it was hard to tell what you'd be getting. It came down to choosing something sweet or something savory.

The beach here is gorgeous, with white sand and beautiful water, and the sunbeds are right out front. The location gives you some space from the busy part of the island, though the town center is still about a 15-minute walk away. The rooms are lovely, breakfast is great, and the staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Adan and Andres. I've stayed at beachfront hotels all over Mexico, and this is the best one for me. It also feels like great value. I almost don't want to say that because I'd hate for it to be fully booked next time, but I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone after a great stay in Holbox.

We had such a nice family stay at Xaloc. The kids loved the family pool, and our room had plenty of space and was well equipped. Everyone was lovely, and breakfast was good too. It's in a great spot, a little outside the center on the quieter side, but still under a 10-minute walk to centro.

The hotel was so well kept, and breakfast was lovely. There was a big choice on the menu.
