Maya Inn Holbox Hotel

The receptionist and staff were friendly and helpful, and there is a pool. But the price per night was way too high for the hotel's quality and amenities. It felt comparable to camping in tents. You could hear every word other guests said in their rooms, and we woke up to the alarm from the room next door. The "queen" bed was two uncomfortable twin beds pushed together. The cleaning staff left our door open, so we returned to a room full of mosquitoes. Breakfast wasn’t included in the expensive rate either. When we told management we weren’t comfortable, they offered no accommodation other than checking out and paying the full amount of our original reservation. For the same price or less, you can stay at a hotel on the beach.

A quiet spot close to downtown, and a good choice for a family trip. It’s a small hotel with what you need for a pleasant stay, including a clean little pool. The staff are polite and kind, and the morning coffee is excellent.

The spa is well worth recommending. The massages are great and the prices are very accessible!

Good location, but the place was in bad condition. They promised bicycles, and the ones we got were broken. There was also a damp smell.
